About the Role
As a Technical Support Scientist, you will perform a broad range of technical and analytical activities to ensure the optimal performance of our diagnostic products.
You will provide specialized scientific and technical support to Production, R&D, and Quality Control teams, contributing to product improvement, troubleshooting, and the successful transfer of new products from development to manufacturing.
Note: This position focuses on experiment design, data analysis, and interpretation. Hands-on laboratory testing will be executed by technicians, although strong laboratory knowledge is required.
What You’ll Do
- Design experiments and define appropriate analytical or experimental methods for specific projects.
- Analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from experimental and performance data.
- Investigate deviations, identify potential issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare and present results and technical reports to senior staff.
- Write and review laboratory procedures and documentation in compliance with GMP and ISO standards.
- Support activities related to Non-Conformities (NCs), CAPAs, and continuous improvement projects.
- Participate actively in Lean Six Sigma and 5S initiatives.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, Production, and other departments to ensure product quality and consistency.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
- (A higher degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.)
- Experience in a laboratory environment, ideally within a regulated setting (GMP, ISO 13485, FDA).
- Strong knowledge of biological and chemical laboratory techniques and diagnostic products (IBDR).
- Familiarity with MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish or Catalan, with advanced English skills (written and spoken).
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
